Craig Ferguson
Ferguson is of Scottish descent. He has worked as a stand up comedian, a musician and an actor, appearing on the Drew Carey Show from 1996-2003. He has written and starred in three films.
From 2005-2014 he has hosted the Late Late Show which tapes at CBS Television City in Los Angeles. This is a no-frills show with no band. Craig wrote the theme song and he sings it. He was a drummer in a band many years ago. His sidekick is a robot skeleton named Geoff Peterson (shown with Ferguson at left). A regular character on the show is Secretariat, which is 2 guys inside a horse costume.
In April of 2014, it was announced that Ferguson would leave his show at the end of the year. On August 5, 2014 it was announced that British actor James Corden would replace Ferguson. Corden's start date was March 23, 2015. Before the debut of Corden, CBS had various guest hosts in the Late Late Show time slot. These included: Wayne Brady, Lauren Graham, John Mayer, Jim Gaffigan, Thomas Lennon, Drew Carey and more.
