James Corden

On March 23, 2015 the James Corden era kicked off for the CBS Late Late Show. His first guests were Tom Hanks and Mila Kunis.

Like his predecessor, Craig Ferguson, Corden is a European comic who is not well known in America. Ferguson is well known now, but when he started on the CBS show, people knew him as a minor character on the Drew Carey show. Corden is English and Ferguson is Scottish.

Most Americans know Corden only from his role in the film Into the Woods, featuring Meryl Streep and Anna Kendrick.

I think he looks a bit like Conan O'Brien's sidekick, Andy Richter.

Unlike the three previous versions of the Late Late Show, this one has a band, with leader Reggie Watts.

The CBS Late Late Show has been hosted by Tom Snyder, Craig Kilborn, Craig Ferguson and now Corden. It is taped at CBS Television City in Los Angeles.

In 2022, Corden announced he would be leaving the Late Late Show in 2023.

After leaving the Late Late Show, Corden launched a show called "This Life of Mine" on Sirius XM radio.
