Rick Dees

 

Known as a radio DJ in Los Angeles, Rick Dees hosted his own late night talk show in 1990-91. Into the Night with Rick Dees aired on ABC and was cancelled after just one season. Guests on the show included Shannen Doherty, Donny Osmond, Roseanne, Alyssa Milano, William Shatner, Garth Brooks and more. He was also the host of the TV show Solid Gold in 1984-85. In 1976 he had a # 1 Billboard hit with the novelty song Disco Duck. Dees is a member of the national radio hall of fame (1999). He is co-founder of the E.W. Scripps television network. He hosts a syndicated radio show where he counts down the top 40 hits.
